South China Ecological History Research Center

TheSouth China Ecological History Research Center was established inOctober 2012. The director of the center is Professor Zhong Haiyan.The center is based on the researchers of the School of Resources andEnvironment, the School of Forestry, the School of Humanities and Lawof our school, and the cooperative institutions outside the school.It is established by integrating the research forces inside andoutside the school and is dedicated to the natural sciences andhumanities and social sciences related to the ecological history ofsouthern China. Cooperative research base. The research of the SouthChina Ecological History Research Center is a cross-study of naturalsciences and humanities. The center mainly relies on the "KeyLaboratory of South China's Tropical Agricultural Environment of theMinistry of Agriculture" and the "China AgriculturalHistorical Heritage Research Institute of South China AgriculturalUniversity". Theoretical and empirical research, combined withhistorical documents, local archives, field survey data, socialsurvey data, etc. as the main means to carry out research.

Combiningthe school running ideas and characteristics of cross-disciplines,the center continuously improves the scientific research system andbasic conditions, builds a reasonable incentive mechanism andmanagement mechanism, makes full use of and makes full use of theadvantages of the discipline resources that the school can graft, andgathers on-campus (part-time) jobs in agricultural ecology researchMore than 20 experts and young scholars; committed to organizing andcarrying out systematic research in agro-ecological history, forestryecological history, soil ecological history, rural ecological socialhistory and other characteristic fields, and constantly opening upcutting-edge research fields. At present, the research members of thecenter have undertaken or participated in the completion of more than30 national, provincial and ministerial level and other specialcommissioned projects, hosted 1 major project of the National SocialScience Fund, and the relevant achievements have been fruitful, andhave received many awards or commendations.
